Very early start from Cusco (3:00 AM). Drive to Soraypampa and immediately begin the ascent to Salkantay Pass (4,630m). Descend to Chaullay for overnight camping. Long day: 10-11 hours hiking.
02 Chaullay - La Playa - Santa Teresa
Chaullay - La Playa - Santa Teresa
Trek through cloud forest and jungle, enjoying waterfalls and tropical vegetation. Arrive at Santa Teresa lodge for hot showers and comfortable beds. Hiking: 6-7 hours.
03 Santa Teresa - Aguas Calientes
Santa Teresa - Aguas Calientes
Drive to Hidroelectrica and walk along the railway to Aguas Calientes. Enjoy free time in town and prepare for early morning. Walking: 3 hours.
04 Machu Picchu - Cusco
Machu Picchu - Cusco
